| The Mike Lenz Band features Mike on vocals, guitar, and harmonica; Jason Edwards on drums; and Dennis Meyers on bass and vocal. They specialize in a raw, stripped down sound, influenced by everything from delta and piedmont blues artists such as Robert Johnson, Son House, Blind Blake and Tommy Johnson to the Memphis Jug Band stomps and rags of the 20s and 30s to classic 50s and 60s electric Muddy Waters and Howlin Wolf to the juke joint boogies of Hound Dog Taylor and modern North Mississippi blues. At times, they throw in some rockabilly, funk, swing, surf instrumentals and tastes of just about every genre of American roots music. |

| His solo gigs are Mike on guitar, vocals, harmonica and stompbox. He plays a lot of roots music, especially from the Mississippi Delta, Memphis, and Piedmont regions. You'll also hear some Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, and other 50s and 60s era Chicago blues, as well as a bit of everything else from originals to swing and jazz to murder ballads to fiddle tunes to Tom Waits songs to Johnny Cash tunes to surf guitar and other instrumentals to whatever else he's in the mood for or feel the audience might want to hear that night. |
